Role Description

We are seeking for an experienced Software Architect to take on Agile Product Owner role for our cOS Core Software supporting the vCMTS product.

You will report to the Director of Core Software, Broadband business unit

Location

Hybrid role – working at least 3 days a week from our offices in Caesarea

What You Will Be Doing

As the Product Owner of 1–2 Scrum Teams, you will lead the delivery of high-value features for Harmonic’s flagship vCMTS product.

Partnering closely with other POs, Product Management, and engineering teams, you will translate product priorities into clear, actionable, and technically sound software capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with POs and PMs to define, prioritize, and refine the backlog, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives.
• Engage directly with customers to gather requirements and translate them into actionable team plans.
• Work with Scrum Masters and cross-functional team members (Developers, QA, Automation) to clarify requirements, define acceptance criteria, and maintain a shared understanding of the Definition of Done.
• Decompose features into well-structured user stories, plan sprints, and track progress toward completion of team Epics.
• Document features and designs in Confluence, review with stakeholders, and validate with extended development and testing teams.
• Ensure features, bug fixes, and PoCs are implemented following best practices and delivered to System QA for final validation and scale verification.
• Participate in Program Increment (PI) planning within our SAFe®-inspired Agile framework, including continuous backlog grooming and estimation.
• Foster ongoing technical knowledge growth within teams through formal and ad-hoc training, ensuring delivery of best-in-class capabilities on time.
  
  

• Modified Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe®)
• 2-week sprints, continuous integration, shared codebase

• 10+ years of direct software development experience in Telecom or Cable Broadband Access networking products.
• Proven experience as a Product Owner and/or Architect.
• In-depth knowledge of DOCSIS technology, standards, and customer use cases, enabling effective translation of Product Management requirements into value-driven software capabilities.
• Hands-on experience with modern workflow management, bug tracking, configuration management, and productivity tools.
• Software team management experience – strong advantage.
• Solid understanding and application of both traditional Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies and Agile practices.
