A growing startup focused on real-time data management and marketing automation is seeking a Data Manager/Team Lead Data Engineer.

This role will drive both strategy and execution, ensuring the scalability and efficiency of clients' data infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of databases and data-related systems.
• Lead and manage a (small) data team.
• Ensure data security, audit compliance, and monitoring across platforms.
• Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes for our platform backend.
• Optimize query performance and manage large-scale data pipelines.

MUST Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a data engineer, managing various data engines, large-scale data systems and ETL processes.
• 3+ years of experience in large-scale, distributed server-side, and backend development using Java or Python.
• Hands-on experience working with Big Data (Billions of records).
• Proven experience with cloud (AWS) data platforms like Snowflake (Redshift, BigQuery).
• Hands-on experience with both relational databases (such as PostgreSQL) and non-relational databases / NoSQL (such as MongoDB or Redis).
• Proven teams management experience.
• Experience working in startups.
