Quality Assurance Team Lead

We are looking for a Senior QA Leader to establish and drive our quality assurance processes. This role will start as a hands-on individual contributor, with responsibility for defining standards, building test plans, and implementing both manual and automated testing. Over time, it has the potential to grow into a leadership role managing a small QA team (2–3 people).

Responsibilities

·Define QA methodology, standards, and best practices for the engineering team.

·Develop and execute test strategies covering functional, integration, performance, and scalability aspects of a distributed system.

·Build and maintain manual and automated testing frameworks (tooling flexible).

·Ensure product quality through test planning, test case design, execution, and reporting.

·Collaborate closely with developers to detect, isolate, and resolve issues quickly.

·Advocate for quality and reliability across the entire development lifecycle.

·Lay the foundation for scaling QA into a small dedicated team in the future.

Requirements

·6+ years of QA experience, including system-level testing.

·Strong track record in building test automation frameworks and driving coverage.

·Experience testing distributed, microservices-based systems.

·Familiarity with databases (MongoDB, Redis) and containerized environments (Docker/Kubernetes).

·Hands-on experience with functional, regression, performance, and load testing.

·Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

·Excellent communication and documentation skills.

·Advantage: Experience in startups or building QA processes from scratch.
