Head of SOX

A leading financial institution is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Head of SOX to join its Finance Division. This is a senior management role with significant responsibility for ensuring the reliability of the company’s financial reporting and compliance with SOX requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the SOX compliance process, including SOX 404 and SOX 302.
• Oversee ITGC and ELC controls: validation, maintenance, and continuous monitoring.
• Manage the design and testing of key financial reporting processes, in collaboration with external auditors and consultants.
• Consolidate and monitor management responses to audit findings, and report quarterly to senior management, the Audit Committee, and the Board of Directors.
• Manage SOX-related systems: operations, authorizations, maintenance, and information security.
• Maintain documentation libraries and evidence repositories for all testing and reviews.
• Oversee cross-organizational controls within the Finance Division: operational risk controls, lessons-learned processes, model validation monitoring, audit follow-ups, and business continuity readiness.
• Represent the unit in quarterly reporting to senior management and the Board, presenting findings, recommendations, and strategic insights.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting + CPA certification – Mandatory.
• Master’s degree in Finance or related field – Advantage.
• At least 5 years of proven experience in auditing financial statements and/or SOX in financial institutions – Mandatory.
• Previous management experience – Mandatory.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills (Hebrew & English).
• Proficiency in Excel and financial information systems.
• Experience in project management and system implementation.
• Familiarity with ITGC and ELC controls – Advantage.
