Role Description

We are looking for a Senior SQL Server DBA to join our customer’s team.

This is a full-time on-site role, located at our customer’s office in Ramat Gan.

The DBA will take full ownership of planning, deployment, maintenance, and optimization of enterprise databases. The role involves close collaboration with development, DevOps, and system teams to ensure the availability, stability, and performance of critical organizational systems. Responsibilities include monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuously improving database infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Design new database architectures based on business and technology requirements
• Install, maintain, and manage SQL Server environments (Production, QA, Development)
• Write complex SQL queries and perform advanced Execution Plan optimization
• Conduct performance tuning, indexing, partitioning, and query optimization
• Implement HA and DR solutions (Always On, Replication, Log Shipping, etc.)
• Manage backups, restores, permissions, and database security
• Develop batch processes and ETL workflows using SSIS
• Support reporting and analytics through SSRS and SSAS (an advantage)
• Handle and maintain large-scale databases (VLDBs, 100GB+)
• Lead version, server, and cloud migrations in a controlled manner
• Provide consultation and support for development teams on functions, triggers, stored procedures, and advanced T-SQL

Qualifications (Must)

• 5+ years of proven experience as a SQL Server DBA (infrastructure + application)
• Strong command of SQL, including analytic functions and Execution Plan analysis
• Proven experience with HA solutions: Always On, Mirroring, Replication
• Extensive hands-on experience in performance tuning and query optimization
• Experience with indexing, partitioning, and query execution troubleshooting
• Proven experience writing stored procedures, functions, triggers, and advanced T-SQL
• Strong experience with backup/restore strategies and monitoring tools for SQL Server
• Technical documentation skills and ability to understand complex systems
