and looking for a hands-on, independent, and curious Applied Researcher to join as one

Your Role

As an Applied Researcher, you will take part in planning and establishing the company’s

laboratory. You will conduct experiments in microbiology and molecular biology,

participate in postharvest fruit testing, and support field trial execution. You will also

contribute to protocol development, data analysis, and lab setup as we build our scientific

operations from the ground up.

Responsibilities

• Set up and manage laboratory operations and workflows

• Conduct lab experiments on fungal disease control in postharvest fruit

• Support and lead field trial execution

• Apply treatments, monitor results, and document findings

• Perform molecular biology protocols (RNA extraction, qPCR, electrophoresis)

• Maintain inventory, safety standards, and lab organization

• Analyze results and collaborate on experimental design

Requirements

• M.Sc. in Biology / Biotechnology / Plant Sciences, or B.Sc. with strong lab experience

• Practical experience in microbiology, molecular biology, or plant pathology

• Analytical and documentation skills, team player mindset

• Ability to work independently in both lab and semi-field conditions

Nice to Have

• Experience with postharvest research, field trials, or fungal pathogens

• Familiarity with dsRNA, RNAi, or gene silencing

• Basic data analysis (Excel or relevant tools)
