Laboratory Operations Manager

About the Role:

As a Lab Manager, you will oversee the development laboratory of the Switching team – the core of Marvell’s activities in designing and developing advanced communication boards and systems. This position requires strong organizational, technical, and operational skills, ensuring the lab functions efficiently, safely, and according to procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Full operational management of the development lab, including organization, safety, compliance with procedures, and infrastructure (electricity, compressed air, water, etc.).
• Manage international equipment shipments to and from the lab, including documentation, tracking, and ensuring visibility of equipment location.
• Coordinate with electricians, logistics personnel, warehouse staff, technicians, and engineers to execute technical and operational tasks.
• Maintain laboratory inventory, including boards, test equipment, SFPs, cables, and additional lab assets.
• Work closely with validation teams – oversee test equipment, upgrades, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
• Provide day-to-day technical support to development teams, including troubleshooting lab issues, hardware problem resolution, and performing basic soldering (cables, connectors).
• Plan and manage soldering activities in the lab, ensuring boards are updated according to engineering changes (ECOs).
• Manage validation budgets – track orders, work with suppliers, and issue purchase orders (POs).
• Onboard and train new engineers on lab procedures, ensuring a professional and safe working environment.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role – Lab Manager, Logistics Coordinator, or Warehouse Manager.
• Hands-on soldering experience – cable assembly and simple hardware repairs – mandatory.
• High-level English – must (reading and writing).
