AI Software Engineer

We’re Hiring | AI Software Engineer | Ashdod

Join ELTA Systems’ Software Center and play a key role in developing and implementing cutting-edge AI solutions for defense applications. You will work on advanced projects involving Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Generative AI, contributing to mission-critical systems with significant operational impact.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement ML/DL models on structured data
• Design and deploy GenAI-based systems (RAG, Prompt Engineering, Agentic Workflows)
• Apply classical and hybrid ML/DL algorithms
• Optimize and fine-tune existing models according to customer requirements
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including DevOps and MLOps to deliver algorithmic solutions
• Maintain production models, monitor performance, debug, and manage complex integrations
• Stay updated with the latest research and innovations in AI and apply them to projects
• Contribute to innovative, defense-related AI projects with real-world impact

Requirements:

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Computer Science or Software Engineering – mandatory
• 1–2 years of experience in Data Science and/or AI Engineering – mandatory
• Hands-on experience with end-to-end ML/DL model development
• Proficiency with Python and libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow
• Experience with GenAI systems (RAG, Prompt Engineering, Agentic Workflows) – advantage
• Practical experience with Transformers, Autoencoders, etc. – advantage
• Experience in deploying models, including Docker-based deployments
• Experience working with Linux environments
• Knowledge of C++, C#, SQL, NoSQL – advantage
