Software Engineer II, Google Core

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
• 1 year of experience with full stack development, across back-end such as Java, Python, GO, or C++ codebases, and front-end experience including JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS or equivalent.
  
  

Preferred qualifications:

• 1 year of experience with Web full stack technologies.
• 1 year of experience with data structures or algorithms.
• 1 year of experience with large-scale low latency systems, production systems, and metrics analysis.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Developing front-end and back-end infrastructure.
• Working with external first-party (1P) Applications (Apps) teams , UX and Program Managers (PMs).
• Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
• Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
• Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
