The API Docs & Developer Experience Content Team is a one-of-a-kind group where strong coding expertise meets a passion for creating world-class developer content. We’re also deeply embedded in the product development lifecycle, partnering closely with PMs and engineers to shape the developer experience from the ground up. Each team member owns dedicated product areas with a rare mix of autonomy and company support, backed by data-driven decision making, clear success metrics and a culture that encourages curiosity, initiative, and continuous learning. As the landscape evolves, our team is actively exploring how both human developers and LLM-powered agents are consuming technical content, and many of our current initiatives are focused on crafting developer content that's optimized for both.

Who we're looking for:

We're looking for someone who loves to learn, loves to code, and loves to teach other developers what they've learned; someone who understands modern developer and LLM-tooling trends and has creative ideas for delivering content that motivates developers to take action. You'll take a senior role within our API Docs and DevX Content Team to help design, develop and maintain our amazing docs portal site, create LLM-friendly tech content, developer documentation, thought leadership posts, video tutorials, demo apps, and more. You can also optionally take part in developer conferences, speaking engagements, and other developer relations activities. By bringing your own fresh perspective and unique technical skills, you'll elevate our impact and help shape the future of how developers, and the tools they use, engage with our products.

Responsibilities:

• Create, code explorers, quick starts, demo apps, code examples, written and video tutorials, blog posts and other interactive learning material
• Own the docs for specific products or feature areas, including advocating for developer needs throughout the product development lifecycle: review specs, play with API features at early stages, suggest feature improvements, and more
• Write developer guide, API, and SDK documentation using docs-as-code and agile processes
• Contribute to the team's next-generation developer content strategy planning and implementation targeting both developer and LLMs as content consumers
• Help implement internal AI-powered solutions/agentic tools to enhance the productivity of content creation, management, and delivery
• Take part in designing and developing new functionality for our developer portal site
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, customer support, marketing, and solution engineers to ensure consistent developer experience and messaging across the organization
• Optionally represent Cloudinary at developer conferences and other speaking engagements
  
  

• You've worked for at least 5 years as a developer advocate, technical blogger/influencer, developer, API tech writer, or similar
• You love writing code and have expertise in at least one modern programming language (please be prepared to show examples)
• Experience and interest in LLM-driven IDEs and next-generation developer trends
• Strong command of REST APIs
• You're an educator at heart who thrives on making developers' lives easier
• You have a knack for presenting technical content in creative and interesting ways
• You thrive in a fast-paced environment
• You're a self-starter: you naturally take ownership, look for opportunities to initiate, and take pride in owning & driving measurable results
• Although you're highly independent, you enjoy the benefits of working in and collaborating with a skilled devex team
• You've got excellent native English writing skills
• Bonus if you've also got:
• Degree in computer science, data science, or other technical field
• Background in optimized website development and/or image/video processing technologies
• Understanding of data-driven/value-based decision making and analytics tools
• Experience working in a subscription-based SaaS organization
