Quality Assurance Team Lead

TA9 is looking for an experienced and highly motivated QA Team Leader to lead and grow our quality assurance efforts. As a QA Team Lead, you will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products by guiding a team of QA engineers, defining test strategies, and driving quality best practices across the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers (manual and automation), providing guidance, support, and professional development.
• Define and oversee the implementation of testing strategies, plans, and processes across client and server-side components.
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure high product quality from early development stages through release.
• Design, review, and improve manual and automated test cases.
• Manage the planning and execution of functional, integration, regression, and performance tests.
• Oversee backend testing using SQL and ensure data integrity.
• Guide the use of tools such as Vault, Docker, and automation frameworks to enhance testing environments.
• Supervise API testing processes to ensure performance, functionality, and reliability.
• Monitor defect tracking and resolution using bug tracking tools and ensure timely delivery.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in software QA, including at least 1-2 years in a leadership or mentorship role.
• Strong hands-on experience with SQL, backend validation, and API testing.
• Familiarity with tools such as Vault and Docker.
• Proven experience in writing and managing comprehensive test plans and strategies.
• Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Python and test automation frameworks – an advantage.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment.
