Automation Engineer

A global American SpaceTech company is revolutionizing worldwide connectivity through satellite technology. Major telecom players, including Vodafone, AT&T, and most recently Google, have invested in the company.

The company is developing a groundbreaking first-of-its-kind communications satellite capable of replacing terrestrial antenna towers and providing cellular coverage anywhere in the world. They have raised nearly $1 billion in funding.

The company is located in central Israel near a light rail station and operates a hybrid work model. It employs 500 people globally, with 100 based in the main R&D center in Israel, which is expected to grow significantly.

Responsibilities-

• Develop backend automation and testing infrastructure using Python
• Perform backend, UI, and API testing
• Work with testing frameworks and tools: Cucumber, Selenium, Cypress, Postman, pytest, and Allure
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure quality across the product
• Contribute to improving CI/CD and test automation processes

Requirements-

• BSc in Computer sciences, Software engineering, or equivalent experience (IDF courses or equivalent bootcamp courses)
• 5 years of experience in automation testing using Java or Python
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience in automating tests for backend, UI, and API layers using programming languages such as Java/C#/Python, and frameworks such as Cucumber or other BDD framework.
• Familiarity with testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, and Postman for backend, UI, and API testing.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in Agile environments, preferably within a CI/CD pipeline.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues in automated tests across different layers.
