Job Description

NOVE Onlus is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the vulnerable population. NOVE intends to renovate specific areas of premises to improve functionality and safety. The renovation project will involve architectural, structural, electrical and safety-related works. NOVE seeks the services of a qualified engineer to design the renovation plans and supervise the execution of the works by a contracted construction company.

Job Requirements

Objectives

The objective of this assignment is to engage an engineer to:

• Develop detailed technical designs and renovation plans for the identified premises.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, building codes, and healthcare regulations.
• Provide technical supervision and oversight during the execution of renovation works by the construction company.
  
  

Scope of Work

The Engineer Will Be Responsible For The Following

• Design Phase
• Conduct site assessments and collect necessary data.
• Prepare detailed architectural and engineering plans (including structural and mechanical).
• Develop bills of quantities (BoQ), technical specifications, and cost estimates.
• Support NOVE in preparing tender documents for contractor selection.
  
  

Supervision Phase

• Monitor and supervise all renovation activities on site.
• Ensure that the contractor adheres to the approved design, specifications, and work schedule.
• Conduct regular site inspections and progress evaluations.
• Identify and report any deviations, risks, or safety concerns.
• Certify contractor work progress and verify invoices.
  
  

Deliverables

• Full set of design and construction drawings.
• BoQ and technical specifications.
• Weekly and monthly supervision reports.
• Final project report and certification of completion.
  
  

Reporting

The engineer will report directly to the Deputy Country Director. Coordination meetings shall be held regularly to review progress and address any issues.

Confidentiality and Conduct

All designs, documents, and findings shall remain the property of NOVE. The engineer is expected to maintain strict confidentiality and uphold professional ethics throughout the assignment.
