Director of Engineering

We are a fast-growing technology company developing a highly sophisticated SaaS platform that powers mission-critical operations for global customers. Our product combines complex architecture, advanced integrations, and high scalability, requiring a team that thrives on solving challenging technical and business problems.

We are seeking a senior, experienced, and hands-on leader to join our management team and head one of the organization’s core development divisions. In this pivotal role, you will hold full responsibility for managing development teams, defining both the technological and business strategy, and overseeing the day-to-day engineering operations, all within a dynamic environment where innovation, precision, and impact come together to deliver exceptional value.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage two direct managers, each responsible for a separate group. You will be responsible for the full scope of SaaS architecture and data engineering initiatives.
• Set the strategic direction and product objectives for the department, ensuring full alignment with the company’s overall goals.
• Actively participate in product definition and solution design, with full responsibility for defining the architecture and all technological aspects required to achieve goals.
• Oversee all development processes and deliverables, ensuring the use of modern methodologies, high-quality standards, and optimal efficiency.
• Ensure smooth day-to-day operations, product and platform maintenance, and timely resolution of issues.
• Mentor and professionally guide the group managers, fostering a supportive environment for professional growth. You will have full responsibility for the professional and personal development of all team members.
• Work closely with other managers and relevant stakeholders across the organization to advance cross-company initiatives and strategic projects.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Managerial Experience: At least 10 years of experience managing development teams, including a minimum of 3 years managing managers (Manager of Managers).
• Complex Program Leadership: Proven track record in a senior managerial role within a large company (200+ employees), with experience navigating complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and cross-functional product development.

Technical Expertise:

• Hands-on experience in software development and designing complex software architectures.
• Proven experience developing complex SaaS products and deep familiarity with the Data domain.
• Significant advantage: Experience developing AI-driven solutions, using AI tools, and applying modern software development methodologies.

• Strategic Leadership: Demonstrated ability to define strategic goals, build a roadmap, and translate it into clear work plans.
• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to inspire teams, coach managers and employees, and build a productive, professional work environment.
• Communication & Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to work effectively with multiple interfaces across the organization.
• Independent Work: Ability to manage operations with full accountability and autonomy, while working in alignment with the VP of R&D.
• Business Acumen: Strong understanding of business considerations and the ability to integrate business and product priorities into technological decisions.
