Avionics and Electromechanical Systems Engineer | Lod, Israel | IAI

We are looking for an Avionics and Electromechanical Systems Engineer to join our Engineering and Development Center in the Aviation Division. This is a technically challenging position working on cutting-edge projects across a wide variety of platforms.

The position includes:

• Full design implementation in accordance with system engineering development processes, from early design stages to system delivery to the customer

• Concept development and preliminary design, including definition of electrical and logical architecture

• Management and definition of system and software requirements, engineering interface management, and support for unit development with system manufacturers

• Definition and oversight of integration testing, ground tests, and flight tests

• Leading civil and/or military certification processes with relevant aviation authorities (CAA, EASA, FAA, etc.)

• Working on a wide range of platforms including UAVs, business jets, passenger-to-cargo aircraft conversions, and groundbreaking R&D programs

What we’re looking for:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Systems, Electrical, Electronics, Aeronautical, or Software Engineering – required

• At least 3 years of experience in systems engineering

• Experience in developing systems in the civil and/or military aviation field – strong advantage

• Strong teamwork skills, initiative, and independence

• Ability to work with internal and external customers

• Willingness to travel abroad
