Execution Trader

The Role As an Execution Trader you will operate independently during Asia afternoon and European market hours, executing trades on behalf of our US-based trading desk. You will receive trading instructions from US traders, then carefully execute these trades while closely monitoring risk. This role requires strong common sense and attention to detail, as you'll work without direct supervision for most of your shift. You must know when to escalate issues and ensure smooth handover of positions before the US market opens.

Responsibilities:

• US Team Communication: Receive daily trading instructions from US traders, provide regular updates during overlap hours, and deliver comprehensive position reports.
• Trade Execution: Execute trades across multiple assets and stock tickers carefully within established guidelines, making decisions on timing, venue selection, and order management.
• Risk Monitoring: Continuously watch market conditions and portfolio risk. Know when to escalate problems and contact US traders during emergencies or significant market events.
• Daily Handover: Complete thorough reconciliation with the US team before market open, ensuring all overnight trades, position changes, and risk exposures are properly transferred.
• Operations Management: Handle clearing and settlement processes, operate third-party trading platforms, and maintain careful P&L and risk monitoring.
• Market Updates: Provide market insights from Asia afternoon and European sessions that may impact US trading.

You Bring:

• Education: BA/BS in Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, or related quantitative field.
• Experience: 2-5 years of direct trading experience, preferably in electronic markets, algorithmic trading, or market making environments.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency with trading platforms, order management systems, and real-time risk monitoring tools. Python or other programming languages are a plus.
• Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of market microstructure, order types, execution algorithms, and regulatory frameworks across global markets.
• Professional Acumen: Knowledge of pricing, risk management, and P&L attribution in live trading environments.
• Behavioral: Exceptional decision-making under pressure, strong communication skills for coordinating with traders and quants, competitive drive with collaborative mindset, and ability to maintain focus during high-stress market conditions.

Extra Credit

• Experience trading in EMEA or Asian markets
• Background with multi-asset execution or cross-venue arbitrage strategies.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions.

Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with experience, including a strong performance-based bonus structure aligned with trading results. Please note that total compensation includes base salary, performance bonuses, and profit sharing opportunities.
