R&D Director

A profitable and stable global high-tech company in the online gaming sector. The games focus on scratch cards and slot machines.

The development group consists of approximately 50 people located in Israel and Bulgaria. The company employs around 90 people in total and is located in Tel Aviv near a train line.

The company offers a hybrid work model with two remote days per week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and execute the R&D strategy to drive innovation, support business goals and expand the platform
• Lead and mentor development, QA and DevOps teams, creating a culture of innovation and collaboration.
• Oversee the full software lifecycle with modern practices such as Agile, Scrum and CI/CD, ensuring quality, scalability and on-time delivery.
• Manage budgets, resources and performance reviews while continuously improving processes.
• Align technology with business needs by working closely with product, marketing and operations.

Requirements-

• Proven leadership experience in leading R&D and QA teams in Java/React, ideally within gaming or SaaS.
• Hands-on expertise in modern development practices: Agile/Scrum, DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Deep understanding of the iGaming sector, or strong motivation to learn it quickly.
• Excellent leadership, communication and project management skills with the ability to inspire multicultural teams and deliver in a fast paced, global environment.
