NPI Team Leader

A stable and well-established medical company, recognized for its high-level and consistent development standards, is seeking an NPI Team Leader to join its R&D department. This is a key leadership role, managing and guiding a team of engineers while overseeing the successful transfer of new products from development to production.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team, including task delegation, mentoring, and professional development.
• Oversee the transfer of new products to manufacturing (NPI).
• Lead DFM (Design for Manufacturing) activities during development.
• Develop in-house manufacturing processes such as CNC, Wire EDM, EDM, plastic/metal mold injection, laser welding/cutting/marking, surface treatment, assembly, and packaging.
• Collaborate with subcontractors to establish new manufacturing lines.
• Prepare production documentation (work instructions, flow charts, procedures, routings, product labels).
• Design and produce production jigs.
• Serve as the engineering focal point for solving production issues and driving improvements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Proven experience in managing or leading employees – mandatory.
• Minimum of two years of experience as an NPI Engineer or in a similar role.
• Experience with CNC manufacturing processes – an advantage.
• Experience in the medical device industry – an advantage.
• Strong ability to see the big picture while paying attention to detail.
• Ability to work both independently and within a matrix team.
• Strong problem-solving skills and capability to implement improvements.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
