Back End Development Lead

Role Summary:

We are looking for a hands-on Backend Development Lead to own all backend and DevOps activities, manage a cross-country team (Israel & Vietnam), and take our new Node.js-based platform to the next level. This is a role for a strategic thinker who thrives in a startup environment — adaptable, innovative, and accountable.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor backend teams, driving technical excellence and delivery.
• Design, build, and optimize backend services using Node.js, Fastify/NestJS, Redis, Kubernetes, AWS.
• Monitor, scale, and cost-optimize AWS infrastructure.
• Integrate 3rd-party services (inventory, payments, etc.) into our systems.
• Take ownership from architecture to deployment, ensuring reliability and performance.

Requirements:

• 8+ years backend experience, with 4+ years in people management.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in Node.JS
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS
• 2+ years of experience in working with remote developers in Asia either as a peer or as a manager
• Proven track record with eCommerce or booking platforms.
• Strong AWS, Node.js, and DevOps expertise.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and fluent English communication.
• Startup mentality — resourceful, adaptable, and delivery-focused.
