Senior Backend for Frontend

At Mesh Security, we’re building the future of cloud-native cybersecurity. Our platform empowers enterprise security teams with full visibility, context, and control over complex, fragmented cloud environments—enabling them to prevent, detect, and respond to threats in real time.

We’re now looking for a Backend For Frontend (BFF) Engineer to help shape and scale our core architecture. In this role, you’ll bridge our robust backend services and cutting-edge frontend delivering seamless, performant, and secure data access for the Mesh platform.

⚙️ What You’ll Do

• Design and implement BFF layers using TypeScript, NestJS, and GraphQL
• Create secure and optimized APIs that power our React/Next.js frontend
• Collaborate closely with frontend and backend engineers to align data models and API contracts
• Improve performance, observability, and developer experience across our web stack
• Drive architectural decisions around caching, data shaping, access control, and schema evolution
• Write clean, testable, and maintainable code with a focus on security and scalability

✅ Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a backend engineer working with TypeScript
• Cybersecurity domain experience
• Strong expertise in NestJS
• API development (especially GraphQL), and backend-for-frontend design patterns
• Proven experience designing scalable service interfaces for web applications
• Deep understanding of web performance, request lifecycle, caching, and authorization patterns
• Passion for building developer-friendly APIs
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and team collaboration skills

💡 Bonus Points

• Experience with React.js, Next.js, or other modern frontend frameworks
• Experience in Python
• Experience with GraphDB
• Familiarity with CI/CD, observability, testing patterns, and cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP)
