Back End Developer

A global company in the energy sector is promoting smart energy solutions, serving a wide range of energy market segments through its diverse product offerings including large-scale commercial energy trading, battery storage and backup, home energy management, grid services, virtual power plants, and uninterrupted power supply solutions.

The company specializes in advanced development and manufacturing of solar energy systems and dedicated monitoring and control systems for photovoltaic (PV) facilities.

Headquartered in central Israel near a train line, the company offers a hybrid work model with three work-from-home days per week. It employs around 4,000 people worldwide, including 2,000 in Israel.

Role Overview:

• Join a team of four developers, reporting to a Team Lead
• Backend development in Java using Spring
• Full ownership of projects: from design to production, including architectural responsibility
• Work on large-scale data pipelines and real-time stream processing using Kafka
• Handle high-throughput environments with up to 70,000 packets per second
• On-premises product with over 2 million active users
• Tech Stack: Java, Spring, Kafka, RDS, Docker, Kubernetes, Microservices

Requirements:

• 6+ years of experience in Java development
• Experience working with SQL
• B.Sc. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Proven experience with Spring Framework
