New Product Introduction Engineer

Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer

Required Qualifications & Responsibilities:

• Mechanical Design Expertise – Strong proficiency in interpreting and creating technical drawings.
• Production & R&D Support – Provide hands-on support to both production and R&D teams.
• New Product Introduction (NPI) – Lead NPI activities from initial design and DFx, through first article build, to full implementation and sustaining engineering.
• Operational Support – Ensure production systems meet specifications. Design jigs and tools, support troubleshooting, lead cost-reduction initiatives, and drive improvements.
• Cross-Functional Operations Leadership – Take ownership of operations-related responsibilities such as field failure analysis reports, spec waivers, ECOs, EOL, work procedures, test jig design, continuous improvement projects (CIP), and more.
• Product Data Management (PDM) – Act as the subject matter expert and administrator of the EPDM (SolidWorks) system.
• Engineering Support – Provide engineering assistance to Service, Logistics, Purchasing, QA, R&D, and Subcontractors. Support supplier qualifications, audits, and development/upgrades of parts.
• Process Ownership – Define and implement engineering processes including ECOs, rework, and verification & validation (V&V).
• Regulatory Compliance – Work in accordance with medical device regulations in close coordination with Quality & Regulatory teams.
• Project Management – Lead and manage projects across various company functions.

Requirements:

• Education: B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering – Mandatory

Experience:

• Minimum 4 years in a multidisciplinary environment (electronics, software, optics, motion control, mechanics, manufacturing)
• Solid background in engineering processes (NPI, R&D support, transfer to production)
• At least 4 years of SolidWorks experience – EPDM admin experience is a strong advantage
• Medical device industry experience – Advantage
• ERP system familiarity – Advantage
• Languages:
• Hebrew – High proficiency
• English – High proficiency
