Postdoctoral Research Opportunity: Process Simulation in Pharmaceutical Production

The PI Lab at Technion is seeking outstanding candidates for a postdoctoral position in process simulation and advanced pharmaceutical manufacturing. This opportunity is available immediately to candidates looking to advance research at the intersection of Mechanochemistry, process systems engineering, and sustainability evaluation.

About the Role

As a Postdoctoral Scholar, you will:

• Conduct research on innovative mechanochemistry-based pharmaceuticals manufacturing processes.
• Apply and develop process simulation, optimization, techno-economic analysis (TEA), and life cycle assessment (LCA) methodologies to evaluate emerging synthesis pathways.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members and contribute to high-impact publications and scientific advancement.
• Present research at internal meetings and international conferences.

Candidate Profile

• PhD in Chemical Engineering or a closely related discipline (degree awarded within the last 3 years).
• Demonstrated experience in process systems engineering (PSE).
• Expertise in the simulation, optimization, and control of chemical processes.
• Proficiency in process modeling tools such as Aspen, HYSYS, gPROMS, or ProII.
• Strong analytical skills, scientific communication, and teamwork aptitude.
