A well-established and growing biotechnology diagnostics company is seeking a Molecular Lab Manager to lead the commercial molecular lab operations during a ~9-month maternity leave cover - with the potential for long-term integration into a strategic role within the organization.
This is an exciting opportunity to be a key player in advancing innovation, operational excellence, and business growth in the lab sector, while contributing to cutting-edge scientific and industrial work.
📍 Location: Rehovot Science Park
🕒 Duration: ~9 months (parental leave cover), with a long-term path in the company
🔧 Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage operations in a state-of-the-art molecular lab (NGS, qPCR, PCR, and more)
- Supervise a team of lab staff and team leaders, fostering a high-performance and collaborative environment
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards (ISO, GMP, GLP)
- Oversee maintenance and calibration of lab equipment
- Provide professional guidance and training to lab personnel
- Drive technological innovation and process improvement
- Ensure alignment with business and scientific objectives
🎓 Requirements:
- PhD in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or Life Sciences
- Hands-on experience in a commercial molecular lab
- Proven leadership and team management experience
- Practical knowledge of regulatory quality standards (ISO, GMP, GLP)
- Strong business orientation and experience working with clients
- Service-oriented mindset, leadership skills, and commitment to excellence
