Job Summary:

Electrical Engineer

• Purpose:
  
  

The electrical engineer must be expert and responsible for all LV, MV and HV electrical equipment to review the technical specifications as per international standards, give comments, observations, corrections, opinion and able to convince the customer or client.

• Scope of Work:
  
  

The electrical engineer is responsible to review the bid document of electrical LV, MV and HV, 20KV, 110KV, 220KV and above projects technical specifications and able to contact with international manufacturers or suppliers around the world for better understanding and estimation of projects with full responsibilities within given timeline.

• Deliverables:
  
  

The electrical engineer is responsible to review the design, drawings, scope of project, technical reports, fill the specification, visit site if required for client or customer.

• Responsibilities:
• Technical Support: Providing expert advice and guidance on electrical engineering matters.
• Design and Development: Creating and modifying electrical systems, including plans, specifications, and schematics.
• Project Management: Overseeing the implementation of electrical projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
• Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Identifying and resolving electrical problems in existing projects.
• Compliance: Ensuring that all work adheres to relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
• Documentation: Preparing and maintaining accurate records of all work performed.

Typically a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

• Experience:
  
  

Relevant experience in electrical design review, project management, troubleshooting and technical specifications.

• Skills:
  
  

Proficiency in relevant software, knowledge of electrical codes and standards, and strong problem-solving abilities.

• Soft Skills:
  
  

Communication, teamwork, and attention to detail are also important.

• Reporting Structure:
• The Electrical Engineer will report to SESC top management.
• Specific Requirements:
• Tender Documents: Preparing tender documents, including drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
• Material Selection: Assisting in selecting appropriate materials and equipment for the project.
• Permits and Approvals: Coordinating with authorities to obtain necessary permits and approvals.
• Design Codes: Specifying the design codes and standards to be followed.
• Site Visits: Conducting site visits to assess conditions and monitor progress
  
  

Job Requirements

Required Skills and Experience:

• Have a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from national and international educational institutions inside or outside the country.
• Having at least 8 years+ of relevant work experience for a bachelor's degree, 5 years+ of work experience for a master's degree, and 3 years+ of work experience for a doctorate in the country or abroad.
• Familiar with Software of PLSCAD, ETAP and MicroStation.
• Fluent in the country's official languages (Pashto, Dari) and English.
• Computer skills in job related applications.
• Ability to be flexible, work irregular hours and be multi-tasked. Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Reliable, Honest, Transparent; Committed to hard work & exceptional work ethics.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
