System Engineer

Position Description:

An innovative startup developing a multidisciplinary, autonomous robotic system, incorporating advanced algorithms and AI, is recruiting a System Engineer to join its core R&D team. This role includes full responsibility for managing the system’s lifecycle from requirements definition through design, integration, field testing, and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Define system and sub-systems requirements (Performance, RAMS, Standards)
• Perform system analysis and high-level design (HLD), system error analysis.
• Define and shape overall system architecture, Design internal and external interfaces.
• Write system documents, including SRS, ICD, ATP, etc.
• Responsibility for all technical documents.
• Lead system design reviews (SDR, PDR, CDR, PRR, etc.).
• Lead integration processes, system testing, and environmental qualification (ESS).
• Plan and lead field trials and on-site validation.
• Collaborate with software, hardware, mechanics, AI/algorithm, and operations teams.
• Solve system troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or Systems Engineering, M.Sc. – an advantage.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in development & integration of multidisciplinary systems.
• Experience as a System engineer for a R&D program.
• Experience in stabilization, navigation, motion control & perception sensors – an advantage.
• Experience designing systems for challenging environmental conditions – advantage.
• Proven ability to write high-quality technical documentation.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, small and agile team.
• Strong problem-solving skills, creativity, and technical initiative.
• Hands-on approach with high motivation to tackle complex challenges, experience field test operations.
• Fluent English – reading, writing, and speaking.

Job Location:

• Rosh HaAyin – Afek Industrial Park
• Full-time, on-site position (not hybrid/remote)
