DBA Production Team leader

Aristocrat-Interactive, an international online lottery software and service provider, is the leading developer and provider of global e-Instant win games for the lottery industry.

We are seeking a quality and experienced MS SQL Server DBA Production team leader — infrastructure and applicative.

The DBA team leader will be responsible for all DB aspects in the production environments.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a DBA Production team, manage tasks, and set priorities.
• Provide consultation on SQL Server for System Architects, Security Officers, Development DBAs, Tribes, and Product Owners.
• Responsible for new team’s employees' onboarding and training, and for the ongoing training and learning of the team
• Responsible for the team off hours response to critical issues on production.
• Perform as a production DBA.

Production DBA:

• Performs performance tuning, Query optimization, database installations, configurations, updates, backups and monitoring.
• Provide support for multiple environments — development, test and production.
• Anticipates, mitigates, identifies, responds and resolves problems affecting database performance, efficiency, and availability.
• Improve and support processes to ensure zero application downtime on critical issues or during DB deployment of new application releases.
• Work according to documentation, guidelines and policies of working procedures.
• Clearly communicates problems and resolution process to customers and/or management.
• Demonstrates dedication to outstanding customer service by continuously striving to deliver the highest level of customer service; makes recommendations for improving service and efficiencies.
• Work according to documentation, guidelines and policies of working procedures.
• Provide support for the operation teams 24/7 — on call in off work hours only for critical issues (one week a month).
• Maintains database security in compliance with APEI policies, GDPR and PCI security standards.

What We’re Looking For:

• At least 5 years’ experience as a SQL Server DBA.
• Deep and wide understanding of databases’ structure and architecture.
• Hands-on experience with SQL server clustering and replication methodologies.
• Writing complicated T-SQL, stored procedures, and functions.
• Motivated, team player with ability to learn fast and great analysis skills.
