Java Backend Engineer

A leading global fintech company is seeking an experienced Back-End Developer specializing in Java to work on advanced SaaS systems.

Location: Petah Tikva / Hybrid

Employment Duration: 9 months (with an option to extend)

Position Includes:

• Hands-on development in Java-based systems – approximately 70–85% actual coding
• Working with Spring/Spring Boot, Kafka, and Flink for real-time data processing
• Designing system architecture and developing POCs
• Working with relational and non-relational databases
• Collaborating within an Agile team and partnering with Product, QA, and other organizational units
• Providing technical leadership and mentoring other developers on the team

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience in Java development – must
• Experience with Spring / Spring Boot – must
• Experience working with Kafka and Flink – must
• Experience with both relational (SQL) and non-relational (NoSQL) databases – must
• Experience in an Agile / Scrum environment – strong advantage
• Strong system-level thinking, excellent teamwork, and high-level English proficiency
