Samsung R&D Center is looking for an Algorithm engineer to join our 3D Processing and computer vision team. At Samsung we’re developing cutting edge imaging technology and deploy it to state of the art-image sensors leading the market in technology and innovation. Our image sensors play a key role in market; leading consumer devices and are at the forefront of the technological wave, empowering users to capture their world like never before.

The Team

Our Sensor Algorithms Team develops processing pipelines for Samsung’s imaging and depth sensors. Leveraging expertise in classical computer vision (CV), hardware-based image processing (ISP), and 3D reconstruction, we deliver state-of-the-art solutions that power world-class imaging and depth-sensors with exceptional accuracy and detail.

What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, and implement image processing and computer vision algorithms for imaging and depth sensors across various sensor technologies
• Drive your work end-to-end: from concept, research, and prototyping to implementation, optimization, and deployment on products
• Conduct research to explore emerging technologies in imaging and depth sensing
• Collaborate with hardware, and software experts to bring your ideas to life in Samsung’s products
• Contribute to the company’s intellectual property through patent filings and potential research publications

What We’re Looking For

• BSc in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics or related field, and 7+ years of algorithmic experience
• MSc in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics or related field and 3+ years of industry or academic experience
• Strong background in Computer Vision and/or Image Processing
• Hands-on experience with Python for algorithm prototyping and analysis
• A proactive, “can-do” mindset with a passion for innovation and problem-solving
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)

Advantages

• PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics or related field
• Proficiency in C/C++ for high-performance implementations
• Practical experience with Deep Learning (especially for imaging tasks)
• Experience with LiDAR or depth sensor development
