We publish research reports, host professional events, and support students and researchers in relevant fields. SNI is an independent, non-profit organization.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Data Scientist to lead the development and implementation of advanced artificial intelligence tools to support policy research initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop advanced tools for automated data mining and collection
• Design algorithms to integrate various AI tools and services
• Build datasets from diverse online sources
• Create interactive tools for data visualization, exploration, and accessibility
• Stay up-to-date with emerging AI models, technologies, and research methods
• Support research teams with AI integration throughout the research lifecycle

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Proven experience in building tools for data mining and AI integration in research projects
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with research teams
• Advantage: experience with AI agent frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, or LlamaIndex, and familiarity with Azure OpenAI, Cognitive Search, or Cognitive Services
