Harness Design Lead

Israel Aerospace Industries is seeking a Harness Design Lead to join the Wiring and Optical Cabling Engineering Department within the Missile and Space Systems Division.

The position includes:

• Leading and executing harness system design in collaboration with project teams, systems engineering, electronics, mechanics, manufacturing, subcontractors, and procurement

• Supporting harness development from concept through serial production

• Creating wiring diagrams including system schematics, 2D, PL, and WL drawings, and technical requirements

• Full responsibility for preparing complete product documentation, either independently or by managing subcontractors

• Defining items such as connectors, backshells, boots, wires, cables, sleeves, splices, and ferrules

• Leading and coordinating wiring-related status meetings

• Preparing requirement specifications and presentations for project reviews

What we’re looking for:

• Experience in harness and wiring design for military systems and/or extensive experience in manufacturing engineering

• Proficient in English for both verbal communication and writing technical requirements

• Experience working with harness manufacturing contractors

• Knowledge of standards such as IPC-620

• Familiarity with fiber optics – an advantage

• Strong interpersonal skills, team-oriented, and service-driven
