WalkImpact was founded with a clear purpose: to help those who protect us heal, grow, and reclaim control after traumatic events.
We are developing LaVie AI – a digital, science-based resilience platform for security forces, emergency responders, and medical teams.

About the Role
We are seeking a Chief Clinical Officer (CCO) to join our founding leadership team and lead the clinical integrity and direction of WalkImpact.
You will be responsible for shaping the clinical vision of the platform, validating all psychological content and interventions, managing ethical approvals, and leading our collaboration with research institutions and academic partners.
This is a hands-on, strategic leadership role for a clinical expert who combines field experience with a research-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead clinical strategy and development for all intervention content, flows, and user journeys
• Design and approve the clinical manual of intervention, including structured guidance for resilience building
• Oversee ethical processes, including preparation and submission of IRB materials and clinical documentation
• Lead collaborations with academic institutions, research centers, and clinical advisors
• Work closely with the product and design teams to ensure alignment with trauma-informed care and therapeutic best practices
• Guide pilot research design, clinical validation processes, and efficacy tracking
• Be the voice of clinical excellence, both internally and in our external partnerships with mental health organizations
  
  

Required Background

• Licensed Clinical Psychologist, Rehabilitation Psychologist, or Certified Social Worker (MSW + licensing), with at least 7 years of direct experience treating PTSD or trauma
• Deep familiarity with trauma-related protocols, PTSD treatment methods, and resilience-building approaches
• Experience working with security forces, military veterans, emergency responders, or medical frontline workers
• Demonstrated ability to bridge clinical experience and academic research
• Experience designing or reviewing clinical studies, protocols, or intervention models
• Ability to translate therapeutic concepts into clear, actionable content for a digital environment
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• PhD or advanced clinical degree with publications in trauma, PTSD, or resilience-related fields
• Experience in clinical leadership roles (e.g., in a hospital, public health org, or research institute)
• Familiarity with digital mental health tools or startups – an advantage
• Knowledge in positive psychology, behavioral design, or recovery-based frameworks

We're developing LaVie AI — a science-based digital coach for building personal and collective resilience.

About the Role
We are looking for a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to join the founding leadership team. This is a co-founder level position for a builder who wants to lead both strategy and execution.
You will lead all technological aspects of our product, infrastructure, and roadmap — from architecture to AI integration — working closely with product, clinical teams to deliver a scalable, impactful, and secure digital experience.
This is not just a tech role. It’s a commitment to building technology that saves lives.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture and infrastructure of our cross-platform, AI-driven resilience platform
• Design and implement AI capabilities, including personalization engines, NLP, and behavior-adaptive logic
• Ensure data security and system integrity at clinical and organizational standards
• Collaborate closely with product and clinical leaders to shape features based on research, behavior science, and real-world needs
• Own the technical roadmap from MVP to scale — from pilots with military units to partnerships with public and private institutions
• Contribute to fundraising, growth strategy, and partnerships as part of the core founding team
• Recruit and lead a high-performing development team aligned with our mission and values
  
  

Required Background

• Proven experience as a senior engineer or CTO in an early-stage startup or mission-driven company
• Full-stack development experience, include product base on AI, web and mobile backend systems, and cloud infrastructure
• Strong foundation in AI/ML, particularly LLM’s customized models
• Track record of building scalable and secure platforms
• Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
• High resilience and ability to work in high-intensity, purpose-driven environments
  
  

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in digital health, mental health, or wellness platforms
• Personal connection to or professional experience with military, emergency, or trauma-related fields
• Experience working with WhatsApp/Telegram or conversational product layers – an advantage
