Why this role?

We are looking for an experienced Security Researcher to join us in building Snyk's AI Trust Platform, as part of our journey to enable secure and rapid adoption of AI-native apps among the world's top companies. You'll be challenged to stand at the forefront of securing applications in the new world of the GenAI revolution, by understanding and mitigating new threats like Excessive Agency and Improper Output Handling, while blending development with security.

What You’ll Do

We are building a new product that, like all products in Snyk's portfolio, will be used collaboratively by AppSec and software engineers. It involves deep knowledge of the Gen AI ecosystem, software development, and cloud infrastructure without compromising on user experience and usability. Your day to day will involve analyzing AI-native applications using data from various sources, identifying security threats and providing actionable countermeasures for mitigating them.

We're looking for people who are passionate about AI, security, development, and everything in between. As the sole Security Research Expert on our development team, you will collaborate with software engineers to model, identify and provide mitigations for AI-native security threats.

What You Bring

• At least 5 years of experience as a security researcher in the AppSec domain, including knowledge of OWASP publications.
• Deep understanding of the GenAI ecosystem, and curiosity and enthusiasm to learn continuously as the world around us changes.
• Knowledge of software engineering, cloud environments, and translating security threats into mitigations.
• Agility to shift focus seamlessly with changing requirements and priorities.
• Strong collaboration skills, including effective verbal and written communication skills.
