The Opportunity

We're seeking a Data Scientist to join our team and help unlock insights from our unique dataset of AI search behaviors. You'll work at the intersection of NLP, search analytics, and business intelligence to help brands understand how AI systems perceive and recommend them.

What You'll Do

• AI Response Analysis: Analyze patterns in AI-generated responses across multiple LLM platforms to identify brand mention patterns, citation behaviors, and recommendation algorithms
• Search Intelligence: Build models to predict and optimize brand visibility in AI search results, working with query enrichment and topic clustering data
• Performance Metrics: Design and implement KPIs for AI search performance, including citation quality scores, brand sentiment analysis, and conversion attribution
• Buying Journey Analytics: Map and analyze customer journeys through AI-powered search, identifying key decision points and optimization opportunities
• Real-time Processing: Work with our batch processing systems to handle large-scale data ingestion and analysis from multiple AI platforms
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering to improve our data pipeline, and with customer success to translate insights into actionable recommendations

Our Tech Stack & Data

You'll work with:

• Rich AI Data: Citations, responses, and recommendations and experimentations from ChatGPT, Perplexity, ChatGPT, and other AI engines
• Scale: Processing large scale queries and responses daily across hundreds of brands
• Data Types: Structured citation data, unstructured AI responses, time-series performance metrics, and graph-based topic relationships

What We're Looking For

Must-Haves:

• Strong foundation in statistics and data science methodologies
• Experience with NLP and text analytics (given our AI response analysis needs)
• Track record of turning messy, unstructured data into actionable insights
• Experience with data visualization and dashboard creation
• Ability to work autonomously in a remote environment

Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience with LLMs and understanding of how they generate responses
• Background in search ranking algorithms or SEO
• Knowledge of real-time data processing and streaming analytics
• Experience with TypeScript/JavaScript for full-stack data applications
• Understanding of B2B SaaS metrics and growth analytics
• Proficiency in Python/R for data analysis and SQL for complex queries
