The opportunity

As Digital Development Engineering Lead, you will leverage your strong technical and business expertise to lead a team of software development experts in the pursuit of engineering excellence whilst delivering new digital capabilities to support improved customer outcomes. In this role, you will take ownership of our digital application development and support , You will work collaboratively across multiple teams to drive exceptional digital experiences that attract, inspire, engage, and problem solving for our customers . You will develop data-driven strategies, manage web projects, and optimize our application performance.

The ideal candidate is a leader with a proven track record in owning and executing sophisticated web development in fast-paced, cross-functional environments. You possess a deep understanding of web development, website performance, website migrations, and the technical aspects of website management. Your leadership, problem-solving skills, and data-driven approach will be instrumental in enhancing the user experience across our digital channels.

How You’ll Spend Your Day

• Provide strategic vision and leadership to a highly engaged, high-performing development teams, to deliver industry-leading capabilities that support strategic objectives
• Act as trusted advisor and collaborative partner, fostering strong relationships with all stakeholders to collectively meet the business priorities and maximize improvements in customer experience
• Build and develop an effective software development organization, leveraging a strong foundation of internal resource expertise and external partners
• Achieve engineering excellence through your extensive knowledge of software engineering practices and principles
• Lead large digital development and support organization to design, build, and sustain applications with a focus on systems usability, performance, security, quality and reliability
• Oversee the implementation and management of web development applications, including CMS updates, site performance optimization, development roadmap, hosting, third party integrations, JS tag deployment, technical bugs, and web development best practices (HTML, CSS, JavaScript). Ensure compliance with web accessibility standards and other regulations
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Security, Architects, Business Owners, Delivery leads to ensure application experiences align with customer needs.
  
  

Your Experience And Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or in a related field or equivalent work experience and practical knowledge.
• 12+ years of experience leading integrated web development and managing large-scale, complex websites, preferably in tech, pharma, or a B2B SaaS environment
• 10+ years managing groups in a fast-paced, growth-driven environment.
• Deep understanding of web technologies, including CMS platforms (e.g., SPO,Optimizely ,Sitecore), HTML, CSS, JavaScript,C# and API integrations
• Deep understanding of low code technologies (Power apps)
• Strong understanding of UI/UX design principles, including wireframing, user journeys, and usability testing to ensure intuitive and engaging website navigation, layout, and overall user satisfaction.
• Proven ability to assess and implement new technologies to meet evolving business needs.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
• Exceptional project management skills with experience managing website migration projects and other large web initiatives
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present strategies, insights, and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders
• Proficiency in managing vendor relationships, ensuring third-party integrations align with business needs
• Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to drive organizational change through technology.
• Familiarity with web accessibility standards, compliance regulations, and localization strategies for global markets.
• Familiarity with SSDLC.
