Project Manager – Marine Systems

We are looking for a Project Manager for Marine Systems to join the Ground Systems Division at IAI.

The position includes:

• Managing the development projects of launch and control systems that meet marine environmental conditions and integrating them on or within ships or at shore.
• Understanding marine engineering and functioning in a maritime environment.
• Matrix management of the system engineering team and engineers from various engineering disciplines, as well as subcontractors.
• Managing the project budget, ensuring milestones and targets are met.
• Acting as the point of contact (POC) for the prime contractor and customers both domestically and internationally.
• Taking responsibility for the ILS (Integrated Logistics Support) aspect of the project throughout the product life cycle.
• Preparing cost proposals and supporting marketing and procurement teams.
• Ensuring that all system requirements, proof of concept tests, and qualification tests are met.

What we’re looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering – required
• At least 3 years of experience in project management – required
• Strong engineering and operational connection to marine systems
• Practical experience in the development and installation of systems on seafaring vessels – required
• High level of technical English writing and speaking – required
• Leadership skills and ability to build teams, with excellent interpersonal relations with stakeholders
• Master's degree in Systems Engineering / Project Management – advantage
• Specialization in marine engineering – advantage
• Practical experience working with shipyards and marine engineering bodies, both domestically and internationally – advantage
• Naval officer course / Service or experience with vessels – advantage
• Familiarity with marine standards and regulations, both civilian and military – advantage
• Knowledge of additional languages – advantage

The Ground Systems Division is responsible for the development and production of launch platforms, control systems, and energy systems for defensive and offensive arrays on land and at sea.

The division is currently managing dozens of projects with a supply scope of tens of millions of dollars annually, working with a wide variety of customers both in Israel and abroad. Simultaneously, the division is involved in the design and development of new and innovative systems at the SYSTEM OF SYSTEMS level.
