Job Description:

BLEND is seeking a qualified Science Content Expert (Natural Sciences / STEM) who is a native Arabic speaker to join a high-impact international project focused on translation, cultural adaptation, and production of assessment tools in the field of education. This is an opportunity to contribute to a meaningful research-based initiative led by a professional team.

Responsibilities include:

• Reviewing translated scientific assessment materials
• Participating in translation and adaptation discussions
• Ensuring content alignment with cultural and curricular standards in Israel
• Supporting the development of localized educational tools in Arabic

Requirements:

• Academic background:
• Master’s degree (minimum) in a relevant field from a recognized institution
• At least 3 years of pedagogical experience as a teacher, academic lecturer, or curriculum developer in natural sciences (e.g., biology, chemistry, physics, earth sciences)
• Language skills:
• Native-level Arabic – required
• Excellent English – the language of the source materials
• Familiarity with the Israeli education system:
• Proven experience working with the Ministry of Education
• Deep understanding of educational programs, textbooks, and commonly used scientific terminology in Israeli middle schools
• Translation experience:
• Prior experience in translation and cultural adaptation of international assessment tools is a plus
• Employment eligibility:
• Current employees of the Israeli Ministry of Education (teachers, instructors, supervisors) are not eligible
• Retired educators or professionals not currently employed by the education system may apply

Working Hours:

Project-based engagement. Work is conducted primarily from home with flexibility in hours. Occasional remote meetings are required, and in rare cases, in-person meetings may take place in our Tel Aviv office.
