A leading electronics company is seeking a Purchasing Buyer (Procurement Specialist).

Position Title: Electronic Components Buyer

Job Description:

Responsible for the procurement and supply of products and services for the company’s customers.

The role includes planning, negotiations with suppliers, order management, delivery follow-up, and maintaining supplier data.

Handles complex tasks using professional expertise, initiative, and sound judgment. Capable of providing professional guidance to junior employees.

Reports to: Purchasing Manager

Areas of Responsibility:

• Responsible for purchasing requirements based on customer provisioning plans according to MRP recommendations.
• Identifying new suppliers and conducting negotiations.
• Providing support for procurement needs of various departments such as operations and production.
• Generating accurate purchase orders.
• Tracking and monitoring deliveries in accordance with provisioning plans, and handling items that may cause production delays.
• Managing reports with recommendations for expediting, postponing, or canceling orders.
• Conducting pricing activities for new and existing customers.
• Monitoring import processes from international suppliers, including coordination with customs authorities and shipping companies.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Academic degree – mandatory (Industrial Engineering and Management – advantage).
• Experience and knowledge in procurement and/or a similar position – significant advantage.
• Commercial acumen in supplier agreements and procurement of components in the electronics industry.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Ability to source suppliers both locally and internationally.
• Capability to drive and implement procurement processes.
• Understanding of import and international shipping procedures.
• Effective time management and ability to work under pressure.
• High service orientation.
• English – high level required.
• Proficiency in computer applications, including Office and Excel – mandatory.
