About the Role

We are looking for a QA Engineer with a strong understanding of video technologies to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in video delivery systems and networking, and who is also capable of performing basic QA tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This is not a typical QA role - we need someone who understands the flow of video data (e.g., MPEG-TS, OTT, ST 2110, codecs) and has the technical curiosity to dive into networking protocols and Linux-based environments, while also contributing to manual testing and product validation.

Key Responsibilities

• Validate video streaming flows across various protocols and formats.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and reproduce video/audio-related issues across environments.
• Perform manual testing for new features and system components.
• Investigate issues at the packet, stream, or system level using Linux tools.
• Log and track issues effectively, working closely with development and video engineering teams.
• Run sanity, integration, and exploratory tests around video workflows.

Required Skills

• Good understanding of video streaming technologies such as OTT, MPEG-TS, or uncompressed video standards (e.g., ST 2110).
• Knowledge of audio/video codecs, such as H.264, H.265, AAC, etc.
• Basic QA skills – issue reporting, test execution, exploratory testing.
• Solid knowledge of networking protocols, especially TCP/IP, UDP, multicast, HTTP.
• Linux experience, including command-line tools and log investigation.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging mindset.
• Ability to work independently, but also collaborate within cross-functional teams.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, technical environment.

Nice to Have

• Basic scripting or programming knowledge in Python, Node.js, or Shell.
• Experience with tools like Wireshark, ffmpeg, OBS, or video analysers.
• Exposure to automation tools or frameworks.
