We are looking for a WordPress developer to work with a modern approach—not relying on the traditional WP Admin templates and plugins, but developing within an environment based on Roots Bedrock and Sage.
The role includes developing custom themes in code, managing projects within GitHub, and writing clean, modular code using advanced tools.
Work scope:
50% part-time position with flexible working hours.
Responsibilities:
- Develop WordPress sites based on Bedrock
- Build themes using Sage (including Blade templating and Tailwind CSS)
- Manage plugins and dependencies via Composer
- Work regularly with GitHub version control
- Manage and separate configurations for dev / staging / production environments
Requirements:
- Familiarity with WordPress development using code, not via WP Admin
- Basic experience or knowledge of Bedrock or Composer
- Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP
- Willingness to learn Sage and Blade templating on the job
- Proficiency with Git and working within GitHub workflows
Advantages:

- Understanding of Vite or Webpack
