Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented rights & digital Ops manager to oversee and execute our full metadata and rights workflow — from composer metadata full completion to PRO registration and royalty tracking. You’ll be responsible for composer’s onboarding metadata integrity, rights proof documentation, and internal system integrity.

This is a strategic role that requires deep knowledge of music rights, publishing administration, and metadata standards. You will liaise between composers, internal teams, collecting societies, and sync partners to ensure legal accuracy and operational excellence across the Stardust catalog.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead Rights Registration Flow:

• Own and optimize the full track registration lifecycle: metadata intake, ISRC assignment, PRO registrations, and internal catalog tracking.
• Manage the metadata submission process, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and timely processing.

Team & Cross-Functional Management:

• Collaborate closely with A&R, sync, legal, and tech teams to support track approvals and licensing readiness.
• Supervise support staff, data entry, and external contractors (if applicable).

Composer & Rights Holder Relations:

• Serve as the main point of contact for composers regarding metadata, publishing rights, royalty splits, and registration confirmations.
• Facilitate onboarding, co-writer disclosures, and shared master rights approvals.

ISRC & PRO Registrations:

• Assign ISRCs using Stardust’s official prefix; manage logs
• Register works with global PROs (e.g., ASCAP, BMI, SACEM, ACUM), ensuring accurate splits, IPI/CAE integration.

Rights Compliance & Legal Accuracy:

• Maintain documentation and confirmation for all master rights and co-writer authorizations.
• Ensure all rights are secured before licensing begins, with a focus on original works and cleared samples.

Catalog Reporting & Data Management:

• Maintain the integrity of the internal catalog across platforms
• Generate reports on ISRC assignment status, royalty registration, and metadata completion.

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years experience in music publishing, rights management, or PRO registrations
• Deep understanding of ISRC/ISWC/CAE/IPI systems, metadata structures, and royalty flows
• Proven experience managing relationships with composers, PROs, and rights holders
• Familiarity with tools like DISCO, Airtable, Google Sheets, or music tagging software
• xcellent communication and documentation skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and submissions simultaneously
• Fluent in English (other languages is a plus)

Preferred Experience:

• Prior work in sync licensing or composer services
• Publisher portal experience with ASCAP, BMI, or SACEM
• Knowledge of sync metadata formats and multi-version registration practices
• Comfort with batch processing CSV or XML files for registrations
