Green Course is hiring a Field Activity Coordinator!

Green Course is the largest activist environmental movement in Israel, driving climate and environmental policy change through community organizing. We focus on educating for leadership and active civic engagement to address Israel's environmental challenges. Our mission is to inspire public participation in environmental policy change, providing essential tools and best practices. With a network of 450 activists and volunteers, we lead significant initiatives like securing the Climate Bill and advocating for better industrial standards. Based in Israel, we champion impactful legislation and accountability in climate action.

Job description:

The Field Activity Coordinator will lead and be responsible for the direct support of our community organizers in the Environmental Leadership Program. They will assist in implementing the action plans of our campus chapters and communities of struggle, and will work together with the organizers and team leads to develop each chapter’s campaign strategy and key milestones. All of this will be done in close coordination with the broader organizational work and staff team.

• 50% position (part-time)
• Field-based – working on campuses and in communities across the country
• Start date: immediate

Requirements:

• Strong alignment with Green Course’s mission – mandatory
• Previous activity in Green Course – advantage
• Environmental/social activism experience – advantage
• Fieldwork and activism experience – advantage
• Proven interpersonal skills – mentoring and training abilities
• Ability to work independently – organized, methodical, and reliable
• Passion for changing Israel’s environmental reality
