Mission Aircraft Lead System Engineer

ELTA is looking for a Lead System Engineer to join a team working on the development of a mission aircraft!

What you’ll be doing:

• Leading the development of a mission suite for a manned mission aircraft (System of Systems), including sensors, command & control systems for operators and pilots, communication systems, and active measures.
• Writing and validating the operational concept (CONOP/OCD) with key stakeholders.
• Defining the system architecture, components, and interconnections by identifying, developing, and engineering cross-system assets and processes.
• Developing the system specification: defining engineering requirements for system components based on customer requirements, operational concepts, engineering assets, and regulatory constraints. Bridging requirements with development teams at all levels.
• Preparing and leading internal and external design reviews.
• Providing matrix guidance to internal and external engineering teams across various disciplines and reviewing their deliverables.
• Defining system verification and leading cross-system integration until final customer acceptance.

What we’re looking for:

• B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or Software Engineering – mandatory.
• 2+ years of experience with complex system engineering or multi-process software architecture.
• Familiarity with requirements management, testing, and development tracking tools such as TcSE, MicroFocus ALM, and Jira – an advantage.
• Strong multidisciplinary system and understanding.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Hebrew and English.
• Ability to independently learn and master new topics.
