The Role

We're seeking a Senior Data Intelligence Lead to transform our unique AI search dataset into strategic business insights that directly impact our clients' growth. This is not a traditional data science role—you'll be our key analytical strategist, working directly with leadership to uncover patterns that shape product direction and client recommendations.

You'll own the entire insights pipeline: from messy AI response data to executive dashboards that drive million-dollar decisions.

What Success Looks Like

• Week 1-2: Jump in and start extracting immediate insights from our existing dataset
• Month 1: Deliver your first major analysis that directly impacts client recommendations and product decisions
• Month 3: Establish core analytical frameworks and become our go-to expert for AI search intelligence that drives product direction

Core Responsibilities

Strategic Analysis & Business Impact

• Executive Reporting: Present monthly insights to leadership team on market trends, client performance, and growth opportunities
• Client Impact: Work directly with our largest accounts to uncover optimization opportunities worth 6-7 figures in additional visibility
• Product Intelligence: Analyze user behavior and platform performance to guide feature development and pricing strategy

Advanced Analytics & Modeling

• Predictive Modeling: Build models that forecast brand visibility across AI platforms and predict optimal content strategies
• Pattern Recognition: Identify emerging trends in AI search behavior before they become mainstream market knowledge
• Experimentation: Design and analyze A/B tests to validate optimization strategies across different industries and use cases

Cross-Platform Intelligence

• AI Behavior Analysis: Decode how ChatGPT, Perplexity, and other AI engines make citation and recommendation decisions
• Competitive Intelligence: Track and analyze how brands perform relative to competitors across AI search platforms
• Market Mapping: Identify white-space opportunities and emerging vertical markets for expansion

What We're Looking For

Must-Haves (Non-Negotiable)

• 5+ years of hands-on experience turning complex data into business strategy
• Proven track record of insights that directly influenced executive decisions and drove measurable business outcomes
• Advanced statistical modeling with ability to explain findings to non-technical stakeholders
• Startup velocity - can move fast, iterate quickly, and deliver impact in weeks not months
• Independent execution - you can define problems, develop methodologies, and deliver solutions with minimal oversight

Highly Preferred

• NLP/LLM expertise - deep understanding of how language models work, process text, and generate responses
• Transformer/LLM architecture understanding - how attention mechanisms, embeddings, and fine-tuning work
• Prompt engineering experience and understanding of how different prompts affect LLM outputs
• SaaS/digital marketing background with understanding of search optimization
• Real-time analytics experience with streaming data processing
• Full-stack capabilities - comfortable with Python/R, SQL, and data visualization tools
• Startup experience - thrives in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
