Datacenter Technician

Data Center Technician | Haifa, Israel | Fully on-site | 912 ILS per day (IIR35) | Contract role

Our client is hiring a Data Center Technician to support the hands-on operation of critical environments. This is an opportunity to contribute to a high-availability environment with a strong emphasis on physical infrastructure, hardware lifecycle, and on-site support.

Based: Haifa, Israel

Rate: 912 ILS p/day (IIR35)

Contract length: 1 year (strong possibility of extension)

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, rack, and decommission IT equipment including servers, switches, and storage systems
• Handle cable management (fiber and copper): patching, tracing, labeling, and troubleshooting
• Conduct regular inspections of data center facilities — HVAC, power, fire suppression, and cabling
• Support hardware diagnostics, repairs, replacements (RMA), and on-site troubleshooting
• Work closely with network, IT, and facilities teams to support deployments and infrastructure changes
• Maintain accurate asset tracking using inventory and DCIM tools
• Perform tasks in adherence to SOPs, safety standards, and incident escalation protocols
• Participate in shift-based operations and remote hands support

What We're Looking For:

• Prior experience in a data center environment (any scale or tier)
• Understanding of server and network hardware, rack-and-stack procedures, and structured cabling
• Basic knowledge of operating systems – Linux preferred
• Comfortable with physically demanding tasks and hands-on work (lifting equipment, using tools)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or in a team
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, including weekends and out-of-hours

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with DCIM or ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira)
• Certifications: CompTIA A+/Network+/Server+, or similar vendor-specific credentials
• Basic scripting (PowerShell, Bash, or Python)
