Import Export Specialist

Location: Yoqneam Illit

Part-time, approximately 60% position.

Position Summary:

We are looking for an Import/Export Specialist to manage and oversee our daily shipping and distribution operations. The specialist will ensure that raw materials shipments are imported efficiently and that complete orders are shipped and delivered on time. This role requires close coordination with customers, suppliers, and freight forwarding companies.

Responsibilities:

• End-to-end management of all import and export operations, including documentation, compliance, and coordination.
• Managing inbound and outbound shipments via air freight, sea freight (FCL & LCL), and couriers.
• Monitoring and tracking shipments daily, ensuring timely delivery and resolving delays or issues as needed.
• Liaising with customs brokers and freight forwarders, handling customs clearance processes efficiently.
• Ensuring full compliance with international trade regulations, export control laws, and local import/export requirements.
• Preparing and reviewing all shipping documents, including commercial invoices, packing lists, Certificates of Origin, and any regulatory forms (e.g., EUR.1).
• Coordinating with regulatory bodies such as the Standards Institute (SII) and the Ministry of Communications.
• Managing customer orders in the company ERP system, issuing export documents and shipping instructions.
• Communicating with internal departments (Sales, Procurement, Production, Finance) to ensure alignment and accuracy in deliveries.
• Negotiating and comparing rates with freight and courier companies to optimize cost and service.
• Handling shipment issues, such as customs holds, damages, insurance claims, and delivery discrepancies.
• Tracking logistics KPIs, preparing reports on delivery performance, costs, and process improvements.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in similar positions in a global company.
• Experience in working with government offices (communication, economy) including customs clearance.
• Experience in managing the entire import and export activities; Import of raw material for production and R&D samples, Export of our products abroad (Air and Ocean). Maintain shipping records. (Packing, Shipping, regulation, documentation, etc).
• Experience in logistics & Forwarding, Exposure to international shipping and/or different shipping carriers (Solid knowledge of logistics procedures).
• Excellent verbal and written English skills – Mandatory.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word etc).
• Experience working with ERP system- advantage.
