Staff C++ Software Engineer

One of our clients, a forward-thinking tech company innovating in the smart mobility space, is seeking a Staff C++ Software Engineer to join their core R&D team. This organization specializes in transforming traditional intersections into intelligent, connected systems that enhance urban traffic flow, safety, and environmental sustainability through cutting-edge AI, software, and hardware technologies.

As a senior C++ engineer in the architecture team, you will lead the design and implementation of high-performance, scalable software solutions at the heart of the company’s product. You’ll work closely with the chief architect to define system architecture, contribute to mission-critical code, and support other development teams with robust technical foundations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect and implement scalable software infrastructure in C++.
• Take an active, hands-on role in coding and performance optimization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver new features.
• Conduct code reviews and provide mentorship to engineering colleagues.
• Drive architectural improvements with a focus on system performance, reliability, and scalability.

Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years of professional software development experience, including 3+ years in software/system architecture roles.
• Deep expertise in C++ (experience with C, Go, or Rust is a plus).
• Strong knowledge of network protocols and systems-level development.
• Experience working in Linux environments.
• Proficiency with scripting languages such as Python or Ruby.
• Solid understanding of computer science principles and large-scale system design.
• Experience with cloud platforms or IoT-based products.
• Familiarity with infrastructure setup and DevOps methodologies.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience working with relational databases like PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with NoSQL solutions such as Redis.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
