Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced and analytical Senior Mechanical Thermal Analysis Engineer to join our multidisciplinary R&D team. In this role, you will lead thermal design and analysis efforts for high-speed electronic systems. You will work closely with hardware and mechanical teams to ensure optimal thermal performance through simulation, design best practices, and validation. Your expertise will directly impact product reliability, performance, and manufacturability.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform thermal simulations and analysis using FEA tools to evaluate heat dissipation and thermal performance
• Design and optimize mechanical solutions for thermal management, including heat sinks and thermal interfaces
• Conduct thermal analysis of electronic enclosures and system-level packaging
• Plan, execute, and analyze thermal validation tests to correlate with simulation results
• Evaluate and select materials for optimal thermal performance when applicable
• Create detailed documentation of analysis results, design decisions, and recommendations
• Participate in design reviews and contribute to system-level architecture decisions
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• 6+ years of experience in mechanical design with a focus on thermal analysis
• Hands-on experience with FEA thermal analysis software (Seimens Flotherm prefferred )
• Strong understanding of heat transfer principles and thermal design best practices
• Experience designing and validating heat dissipation components and systems
• Hands-on experience in thermal testing and correlation with simulation – required
• Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks preferred)
• Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills
• Team-oriented with a proactive and detail-driven approach
