Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Researcher to lead the research and development of cutting-edge generative AI technologies tailored for real-world applications. You will spearhead the application and scaling of large language models (LLMs), vision models, and agent-based systems, driving innovative and impactful GenAI-powered solutions.

What You'll Do

• Lead the research, design, and implementation of generative AI solutions, including LLMs and autonomous agent systems.
• Develop reliable, scalable, and robust automatic systems and frameworks to power GenAI experiences.
• Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to translate research breakthroughs into scalable commercial products.
• Conduct rigorous experimentation, analysis, and optimization to ensure performance, efficiency, and scalability.
• Design and implement agentic AI systems using frameworks like LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar, for document understanding and multi-step reasoning.
• Lead development of prompt engineering and context engineering strategies, chaining logic, and tool-using agents for dynamic workflows.
• Integrate retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and equivalent retrieval-based methods to enhance model capabilities and enable dynamic, context-aware responses.
• Fine-tune and adapt pre-trained models to specific tasks and domains as needed for productization and research goals.

What You Bring

• 5+ years of professional experience in AI/ML, with a focus on generative AI, large language models, and autonomous agents.
• Ph.D. (preferred) or advanced degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related technical field.
• Deep expertise in developing, fine-tuning, and deploying generative AI models, including LLMs, NLP, vision-language, and multimodal models; demonstrated experience with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and agent-based systems.
• Proven ability to innovate and rapidly prototype; adept at translating research into production-grade, industry-focused solutions.
• Extensive experience designing and operating large-scale, production AI/ML systems, including considerations for observability, monitoring, and continuous integration/deployment (CI/CD).
• Strong understanding of embedding strategies, vector search, retrieval optimization, prompt engineering, and tool integration (APIs, plugins, external data sources).
• Hands-on expertise with modern ML frameworks (PyTorch, JAX, TensorFlow, Hugging Face Transformers) and GenAI toolkits (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex); proficiency with cloud ML platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and MLOps best practices.
• Proficient programming skills in Python; experience with other languages (e.g., Rust, Go, JavaScript) is a plus.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including technical writing and presenting complex research to diverse audiences.

• Strong publication record and/or presentations at leading AI/ML conferences (e.g., NeurIPS, ICML, ACL, CVPR).
• Experience deploying and monitoring generative AI systems at scale in real-world production environments.
• Contributions to open-source AI/ML projects or active engagement with the research community.
