Simulation & Navigation Engineer – Defense Industry Position | Yehud, Israel

A leading defense company is seeking a talented Simulation & Navigation Engineer to join our advanced algorithm development team.

This is a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge navigation and control systems, develop and simulate advanced algorithms, and take part in lab and field testing of state-of-the-art navigation technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and execute advanced simulations to assess navigation system performance.
• Develop and maintain control loops (angle, rate, output).
• Create navigation and control algorithms across various accuracy levels.
• Analyze system performance and simulation results, present conclusions, and recommend improvements.
• Conduct experiments and support hybrid lab operations.
• Adapt algorithms to dynamic models and changing environmental conditions.

Requirements:

• B.Sc. in Engineering (Aeronautics, Mechanical, – mandatory).
• Preference for Technion graduates (GPA 85+), or graduates from other universities with GPA 90+.
• Strong advantage for M.Sc. students specializing in navigation, or engineers with 1–2 years of experience in navigation/control algorithm development.
• Experience with simulations and algorithm development – advantage (MATLAB/Python).
• Familiarity with inertial navigation systems, sensor fusion, and GPS – strong advantage.
• High analytical skills, research-oriented mindset, and strong self-learning capabilities.
• Willingness to work full-time and participate in lab and field testing.
